PINK ELEPHANTS
Apr. 14th, 2009 | 05:37 pm
WARNING: THE FOLLOWING ENTRY HAS AT LEAST WO CLEAR EXAMPLES OF BLATANT NAME DROPPING.
As a request from the wonderful Jennifer Hayden, I'm putting up a little seen strip that featured in a mini I co-published with the equally wonderful Nick Abadzis. The story is entitiled PINK ELEPHANTS.
Sorry for the fuzzy lettering, I'll get round to fixing it as soon as I get the chance.
Enjoy!
The End. Hope you liked! More soon.

What I can I say? Shocking! Let's just say that I have been both incredibley busy and amazingly lazy between now and then. I humbly submit sketches for my latest gig for HEAVY METAL magazine. More later.
But not as late as the last time.
Promise.

Hello the great silence!
I'm back from a long trip away in Australia. Had a great time.
Anyway you don't care about that, what have I done for you lately?
Well time to catch up. My stream of consciousness take on racial awareness, 1+1 continues here.

I should be fearful of the futre right now , seeing as I don't have a gig at the mo and my wife lost her job. We have a mortgage and a son, Jet who's 9 months old. Like I say, I should be fearful, but I'm not. Something tells me that we will be ok, and in fact this will push us to change our lives. I'm looking forward to the challenge.
Here's the latest page of 1+1. See you next week.

You may have noticed that the previous strip had nothing whatsoever to do with Saddam or Don King. My bad, I'll post that one some other time. This strip, entitled 1 + 1, is my take on race and the western attitude to it. Second part to be posted next week.
Cheers

Hey whoever!
I have some comics to show! I did this strip for a comics event in London. The idea was to do a mural comprised of the work of a bunch of Brit artists, designed to intersect with each other at some point during each story. You obvoiuslt won't get a feel for that viewing my strip alone, but I still think it works. By the way this was drawn during Gulf War 2 , before they caught Saddam. His whereabouts unknown at that time, I had my little devil Don King spirit him away into a dsrk plsce (I won't epoil the the strip), transformed into a spider. Months later, Saddam was found in what was called a "spider hole". How spooky is that?

My first live journal entry. I'm just a ordinary fuck, nothing special. How is it that I get to talk to yoo, maybe thousands of miles away? The modern age really, really rocks.
I'm a cartoonist. Which means I struggle. Every day. I've been doing this for some time, and although it's never brought a reward, I need to do it, It's like the Catholic church. "Get them by the age of ten and you've got them for life". Well, I'm well and truly got.
It's a great time though for comics. The choice out there is amazing, unbelievable just five years ago. You can get pretty much anything you fancy in comics form. Its a big responsibilty on the part of the intelligent reader to inform him/herself about what's available.
Make the most of this period, It may be the best we ever get!
